Summer Sailing Yacht Racing at Twilight (Oct - Dec)

Embrace a local Hobart tradition and book this thrilling 1.5 hour twilight yacht racing experience aboard a luxury 62-foot maxi ocean racer from October to December. Wander down to King's Pier Marina to say hello to the crew and become familiar with the magnificent Helsal IV, an ex Sydney to Hobart competitor before the race begins.

Passengers can take part in the exciting ocean race and learn the basics of sailing or sit back and enjoy the warm summer breeze and a magical sunset. Time

• The race will take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on the wind
• This experience only takes place in summer months
• Helsal IV leaves Kings Pier Marina at 5.30pm (please be there at 5.20pm) returns around 7:00 pm

Departure Location

• Kings Pier Marina is located on the Derwent River side of Constitution Dock with the entrance directly off the end of Mures Seafood Restaurant. The address is C6, Kings Pier Marina, Franklin Wharf, Hobart TAS.

What To Bring

• Wear shoes with reasonable grip and a jacket for the breeze and sea spray.

Additional Information

• The race may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions
• Suitable for anyone aged 10 years and older
• Participants must be reasonably mobile as there is unfortunately no wheelchair access available
