This 2.5 hour Hobart city kayaking tour on stable kayaks allows you to experience the iconic waterfront of Tasmania's capital from an entirely different angle, as you're taken by expert guides on a journey from Sandy Bay past all the city's major seaside highlights. Take in unique views of multiple regional spots including the history-rich suburb of Battery Point, various wharves and overpasses and the Hobart Docks with their cavalcade of yachts and other vessels. Once arriving at the Harbour you'll disembark and enjoy a fresh batch of fish and chips straight from your kayak as you learn about the history and geography of the area from your friendly guide. With children and adults alike able to participate, and using only the highest quality kayaking gear - with no prior experience necessary - you'll have everything you need for a highly enjoyable multi-hour journey out on the water.
Between November and April tours depart twice daily at 10am and 2pm, and from May to October they run every Friday to Sunday at 10am. - Departing from Sandy Bay, explore Hobart’s coastline, paddling past historic Battery Point, now one of the most prestigious neighbourhoods in Hobart, and gliding under fishing wharfs before entering the bustling Hobart docks
- You’ll get up close to sleek yachts, elegant tall ships, working fishing boats, modern cruisers and possibly even a cruise ship
- After working up an appetite, enjoy Hobart’s legendary fish and chips direct from a dockside fish punt from the comfort of your kayak while your guide entertains you with some local stories
- No paddling experience is necessary and this paddle is suitable for younger paddlers who can team up with an adult or one of our guides

- Tours depart from Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay (opposite 16 Marieville Esplanade on the beach near the rowing sheds)
