The Hedgeley Dene gardens offer beautiful scenery for all ages, with many different plant species and a few short walking trails to explore.

There are quite a few benches but no picnic tables. There is street parking only. Also, the public toilets are near the lakeside path. The kids can run free in the Gardens, and it is also great for walking the dog.

However, the car park can get busy on weekends, considering it's one of the best picnic spots in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs. So, we recommend getting in early if you want to secure a BBQ spot.
