More info

The Port Melbourne beach is located just a few kilometres from the south-western end of Melbourne’s CBD and can be accessible by public transport or car.

If you travel by public transport, you can use bus number 236 from the city. The bus stop is in front of the Port Melbourne Life Saving Club. Also, you can take tram number 109, which finishes its route at Beacon Cove Station Street, which is about 1 km from the Port Melbourne Life Saving Club.

A Mobi-Chair beach wheelchair is available for use on a free of charge basis during patrols in peak season.

Please note, that bookings for a Mobi-Chair floating beach wheelchair are strictly required. You can book a Mobi-Chair beach wheelchair for a 1.5-hour session by using contact details of the Port Melbourne Life Saving Club below:

  • Bookings: https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=531954&
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Website: www.portmelblsc.com.au
