The Kangaroo Viewing Trail at Cardinia Reservoir in Emerald, with the large Crystal Brook Picnic Area for having a BBQ and a spectacular view at the dam, is a perfect place to visit with your family.
Kangaroo Viewing Trail looks like a steep hike to the Reservoir, and it's a must-visit place! You're likely to see kangaroo nearby the Crystal Brook Picnic Area and Playground. If you go there early in the morning or late in the afternoon, you will probably see the best part of the visit - kangaroos in action.
This park offers visitors ample opportunity to see these iconic animals in their natural habitat. With plenty of parking, and amenities available, it's perfect for a day out with family or friends.
Soak up the tranquil atmosphere as you take in the incredible sight of kangaroos grazing in large groups. It's an unforgettable wildlife encounter that you and your kids will never forget.
There are plenty of parking areas. Dogs must be on-lead at all times and are not allowed on the Reservoir wall or Kangaroo Viewing Trail. The Cardinia Reservoir is open from dawn till dusk.
Toilets are at the Crystal Brook, near the playground and BBQs.
