A winter wonderland awaits at Questacon’s Mid-Winter Nights
Returning for the first time since 2019, our very popular Mid-Winter Nights is the ultimate family-friendly event. The evenings will include roving performers, hands-on science, foodie delights and more.
“We are delighted to be bringing Mid-Winter Nights back to Questacon. Visitors will be able to dance to the beats of Canberra’s most loved DJ – DJ Sue, sample liquid nitrogen ice cream, and make their own snow globe” said Angie Good, Questacon’s Senior Manager, Centres.
A variety of fun and winter-themed activities will be stationed throughout Questacon over the four nights, including snowball tossing, stop-motion capture making, and neon colouring-in.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to dine inside one of Questacon’s outdoor igloos and warm themselves with delicacies from the outdoor food court. Food and drink options will include an array of pop-ups from local Canberra vendors, as well as Questacon’s own Atomic Café.
“It is fantastic to be hosting a community event at Questacon after a 2-year break. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our visitors once again,” said Ms Good.
Mid-Winter Nights will run from 6-9 July, with each night kicking off at 5.30 pm. Tickets are available on the Questacon website. Limited tickets will be available at the door. Visitors are encouraged to purchase their tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
