Erehwon Point Beach
Highlights
Erehwon Point Beach is one of the best beaches on Phillip Island for families with kids and it's dog friendly too! You can go swimming, build a sandcastle, splash on the shore, play beach volley or just relax and unwind. The Esplanade and main shopping street is conveniently nearby for local cafes, restaurants and shops.
Safety
Erehwon Point is a sandy beach with some rock formations on the right side of the beach, that are not fully visible at high tide so keep to the right if swimming with kids to avoid getting hurt.
There are markers until which you can swim in the ocean, avoid going past them as it can be dangerous due to currents and very deep water.
Facilities
- Toilets and shower near Cowes Jetty (<10min walk)
- BBQs, picnic tables and benches at Erehwon Point Reserve
- Parking along the Esplanade
Accessibility
There is ramp access down to the beach.
School Holidays Tip
There is quite a bit of shade near the red rocks on the right side of the beach, which is lovely for a picnic or just to relax. Keep in mind that the rocks leave red stains on clothing, so avoid sitting directly on them.
While you’re there
