In 2024, the Australia China Friendship Society ACT Branch organises the Lantern Festival 2024 in the Beijing Garden featuring traditions, music and dance on February 24, 2024.

๐ฎ Fun fact # 1: The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival that marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. The festival activities feature the display and release of lanterns, solving lantern riddles, eating dumplings, and other fun activities. It is a fantastic family event to get together and celebrate the end of the Chinese New Year with food, fun, music and light.
Families came and joined the fun to celebrate the Lantern Festival at the beautiful Beijing Garden by Lake in Canberra, Australia!
๐ฎ Fun fact # 2: The Lantern Festival lasts one day, falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month (February or March).
There was live entertainment from talented traditional music and dance performers and a stunning lantern show.
