What you need to know

The Orient Cave is the cave to take visitors who have seen cave formations elsewhere - the Orient consists of wall to wall decorations and visitors are often overwhelmed by how ornately decorated the cave is. There are a number of steps towards the end but the guides can leave the lights on if someone is physically incapable of doing the last section. Orient Cave is home to two of the most stunning chambers in the entire Jenolan Caves network; the Persian and Egyptian Chambers.

Many consider the Persian Chamber the most impressive chamber in the network with its highly decorated walls and the tallest stalagmite at Jenolan that reaches 10 metres in height! The tour includes return coach transfers to Jenolan with informative expert commentary along the way, and a scenic stop at Govetts Leap Lookout at Blackheath. Tours depart from Katoomba at 10:35am on a daily basis and return at 5pm.
