Named after the safe, calm, shallow waters of Dormant Bay, Safety Beach is the perfect beach getaway for all. Located between Mount Martha and Dromana, Safety Beach provides visitors with a great atmosphere thanks to the bustling cafes in the area. Raved as one of the best beaches on the peninsula by previous visitors, kids can safely swim in the calm waters without having to worry about dumping waves or dangerous rips.

Safety Beach is a popular destination for locals and tourists, however the size of the sandy beach is quite large, accommodating even large crowds. One end of the beach is signed as a dog friendly area, owners can let their dogs run around the beach and play in the water without a leash. Visitors wanting to relax without interruptions from the playful animals should steer clear of this area.
