Extras

  • A dual ticket providing you with the opportunity to experience the two faces of Melbourne - by day and by dusk/evening. Once your first day or night flight is redeemed, your second flight must be taken within 30 days of the first flight (Please choose this option at time of booking if this is required)

Time

  • Melbourne Star is open daily from 11am until 7pm (May - August) and from 11am until 10pm (September - April). The last flight leaves 30 minutes before the advertised closing time and the last tickets are available 45 minutes before the advertising closing time. Operational hours are subject to weather conditions and may be changed without notice
  • Melbourne Star Observation Wheel will open from 1pm on Christmas Day (December 25) and Anzac Day (April 25)
  • Melbourne Star's new cafe is open from 1pm until 1 hour before last flight on weekdays, and 11am until 1 hour before last flight on weekends

  • The Melbourne Star located on Waterfront Way in Docklands
  • All trams from CBD to Docklands are free. Take tram 35 (the City Circle Tram), tram 70 (via Flinders St) or tram 86 (via Bourke St)
  • Parking is available on Observation Drive. Drivers may make use of the Tourism Lounge, located in The District Docklands Shopping Centre

Additional Information

  • There are open storage bins at our welcome host location where visitors can leave bags for collection following their flight. Whilst these bins are in sight of our staff we cannot be responsible for any loss of property
  • Pre-paid lockers on the ground floor that visitors may use to store bags
  • The Star Departure Lounge cafe is a new addition to the Melbourne Star experience. Enjoy light snacks and slices, tea and coffee with family and friends before your flight. Better yet, get a glass of sparkling wine, beer or cider and take it on board our temperature-controlled cabins, and make your trip above the Melbourne skyline an experience to truly savour

Due to operational requirements, the following items are not permitted to be taken into cabins

  • Food and drinks (bottled water is allowable), with the exception of Star Experience Packages or Functions & Events guests
  • Animals with the exception of guide, hearing or assistance dogs
  • Rollerblades, bikes, scooters and skateboards
  • Large backpacks and suitcases
  • Prams and strollers are at the discretion of management
  • Backpacks and/or suitcases of any size are not permitted within the cabin
  • Any other bag or handbag larger than A3 paper is not permitted within the cabin
