What you need to know

Enjoy a fully guided tour of the Otago Peninsula, NZ with this Unique Albatross Tiki Tour. The 3.5 hour tour will take you to discover a number of the Otago Peninsula's most iconic sites from a local's perspective. You'll witness the world's only mainland breeding colony of Royal Albatross, discover Fort Taiaroa - famous for the only Armstrong Disappearing Gun, as well as an abundance of beautiful sights of the scenic coastline.

With opportunities to view the colony of Albatross from within a viewing observatory, you'll witness between 1 to 6 birds at a time, however as they are not in captivity sightings can not be guaranteed. Along with this you'll enjoy a journey along the entirety of the peninsula showcasing breathtaking beauty from every angle.

Tours leave from the Dunedin iSite Information Centre at 9.15am and 1.45pm every day. Be sure to wear warm, waterproof clothing as well as comfortable footwear.
