This half day cruise departs from Main Wharf, Goolwa near Adelaide. Begin the cruise with a delicious lunch of cold meats and salads and complimentary tea and coffee before cruising out of the Goolwa Barrage through the lock into the Coorong National Park to view the mouth of the River Murray. As you cruise by, listen to the commentary by the captain and enjoy the sights of the pristine and undisturbed sand dunes and bird life of Coorong. When you arrive at the Younghusband Peninsula, disembark and enjoy a short guided walk through the sand dunes and hear about the cockling industry, Aboriginal history and the local flora and fauna. After the walk, rejoin the cruise to see additional barrages that separate Coorong from Lake Alexandrina. Enjoy an afternoon tea as you cruise back to Goolwa.
The half day cruise to Coorong departs on Thursdays and selected Mondays and Saturdays at 1pm and lasts approximately 3.5 hours. - Experience a half day guided tour on the Coorong Waterways, your captain will provide entertaining and informative commentary on the passing landscapes, bird life and the rich history of the area
- Enjoy a delicious lunch of cold meats and salads served with tea or coffee as your captain will provides entertaining and informative commentary on the passing landscapes, bird life and the rich history of the area
- Disembark for a guided walk through the untouched sand due of the Younghusband Peninsula and the white sandy beaches of the Great Southern Ocean. Your guide will provide an informative talk of the area, sharing with you the strong Aboriginal history and facts about the flora and fauna within the the sand dune
- On return to the boat, cruise further into the Coorong to see the barrages which separate Coorong from Lake Alexandrina. Your captain will explain how the man-made barrage and lock system which extends along the River Murray works and tell you of the the associated benefits and environmental impacts
- Afternoon tea is served as the cruise returns past the imposing sand dunes and back through the lock to the Goolwa Wharf where the cruise ends

- Return transfers from Adelaide CBD from selected pick up points for an additional fee of $65 per person. Transfers can be arranged directly with the operator, transfer price is subject to change
